Day 1301

What a great Memorial Day weekend I had, and the highlight was a last minute private vineyard tour in Virginia Wine Country! We started out at 10 AM and visited two different wineries, and after each tasting sat for a few hours to eat and enjoy a bottle or so of our favorite tastings. By the end of the day, we were asked to leave because we were "disturbing the other customers". Ha! I guess 10 ladies can get a little loud after a full day of drinking wine.

Day 1295

Oh what a day...yet again. The circus came to town today, and by that I mean the President of the United States. Normally, Tuesday is the busiest day of my week, but adding the President's visit made it that much more so. So needless to say, I'm off to bed.

Didn't get a face picture...too busy doing my job. But when he stopped to talk to the Senate pages, we snuck a quick one. Enjoy.

Day 1293

Ok, so maybe I was a bit overeager when I promised to get back in the swing of things blog-wise. Things have just been busy around here lately. Good, but busy. I know, excuses, excuses, but that is the truth.

Anyways, last weekend I flew down to New Orleans to celebrate the bachelorette party of one of my BFFs, Chase. It was such great fun, and I'm still in a bit of recovery from the weekend.

Look who we ran into down there?!?! My good friend Jeb, randomly there for another party.

Day 1273

I'm back! Well, working on it anyway, but it is due time for me to start writing again. I didn't anticipate this to be a 46 day hiatus, but it's been a busy month and a half. Work aside, here's a bit of what I've been up to these past few weeks...lots of family time, some great friend time too.

Cherry Blossom Festival

Easter in Florida

Gold Cup

Jack's First Communion

Also (and I don't have pictures of this yet), I went back to Little Rock two weekends ago to celebrate mom, who was inducted into the Arkansas Swimming Hall of Fame. It was a great night and she gave a wonderful speech. So very proud of her!

So that's just a small glimpse of what's been going on lately. May is going to be even busier, but I'm going to try very hard to stay on top of my posts. Promise!
